Istrian Cuisine - Pula

First of all, there was no bad food in Croatia. Pula is part of the Istrian part of Croatia. In the early 20th century, Istria was part of Italy. Some of the world's best chefs, like Lidia Bastianich of Felidia's, are from Pula and other towns in Istria. The food here was some of the best that we ever had. Here are some dishes that we tried, including fresh sea bass, and look at the third picture of homemade pasta with plenty of freshly shaved truffles for ten dollars! That plate would be $50+ in the States! In Istria, truffle picking season takes place in the Fall.
